I'd say SC as it is more in line with the nature of the M engine. It would feel like a 6.3 liter engine. G-power have released theirs this month.
www.g-power.de Depending on your money you can go from 525 tot 635 bhp. |

Only having experience of turbo power so I would say turbo, but supercharger technology has made huge improvements in recent years. I see Audi are also going down this route with their new S4 and this is after years of making turbo engines.
There must be a reason for that don't you think. |

Sleepy Member, wishing I was on the road.

Are you looking at any specific kits yet?
Either way I think the supercharger is the safer way to go What are you expecting to get out of the kits? HP wise

Its a car so well thought out that any intervention by a half-witted mechanic is going to ruin it, no doubt. Can you imagine the team of people that worked to create this vehicle and the time they spent pondering over the smallest details. The whole M philosophy is based around the concept of the naturally aspirated engine. I cant imagine anything worse than a tuning firm slapping a supercharger on the marvelous M V8 unit. A friend had his E46 supercharged a few years ago and it had all sorts of issues including some major gearbox headaches, on top of that it was running very similar times to the standard car.

I think both have benefits and negatives but I feel both are the most logical choice over N/A engines in this present environmental climate. |

That's good and all, but BMW just introduced a turbo engine, how much time has he spent with it? I'm sure there are thousands of mechanics who have been with BMW that long and could rebuild an S65 from parts in no time, but that doesn't mean they know about programming the ECU or custom building a turbo or supercharger kit. Good luck, I would love to see you succeed with this, but the fact of the matter is that you're probably going to blow your engine. There's a reason only big companies like G-Power, Horsepower Freaks, and Active take time to produce viable kits for the market. If you want to keep your engine, I would suggest getting in touch with Active, seeing as you're in Miami.
