Downside of having a wicked cool power bulge in the hood :(

I have had my car for less than 2 full days and already I have a rock chip right at the front of my hood bulge, it's only about 2mm in diameter but it's deep... all the way to the metal.

I'm afraid to wash the car and get water in there... what would you guys recommend? Take it to a paint and body shop? To the dealer? Try and repair it myself?

I guess a clear bra will be coming next.

get a clear bra asap. premiere is coming down our way next month. I've already got them booked to put the bra on the roof and my rear bumper this time around for the M3. Also just picked up a Black Series, so they'll be working on that as well. Be sure to get the custom bra instead of the prefab stuff. Costs a little more, but looks 100xs better imo. Just tell them that I sent you. I'm sure they know who I am by now. www.premiermobilegroup.com is their website.

touch up paint for now, so you don't have to paint your whole hood.

A little water shouldn't matter. it's aluminum it's not going to rust
