Its a scam...duh.

$500 deposit, he probably runs off with the deposit money. And i bet if you inquire about payment its through "escrow"..if anyone is stupid enough to pay through "escrow" they get the whole amount.

he has 100% feedback, and it says:

looks like a secure transaction, i think, i know it looks to good to be true and it should be a scam, but just wondering what if it is for real??

paypal will refund the deposit from the sellers account...thats what I don't get...he can't keep the money

It states not to bid w/o contacting him first or the bid will be cancelled and negative feedback will be left.

First place, I don't remember being able to cancel a bid and second I don't remember ebay allowing negative feedback for someone that has not actually purchased he item. I could be wrong but seems a bit strange (and rude).

you can't leave negative feedback for bidders, only the buyer. Secondly, yes, you can cancel bids.

I know that it is not legit...but I do not understand how they get money...if I leave a deposit via paypal...and the thing is a scam...money gets refunded...hence their motto "the safer, easier way to pay"
