Hillary wants to stay in the race in case Obama gets assasinated

I cannot even believe she went there - I am losing all respect for her...hell I'm starting to hate her...and the timing of it w/ Ted Kennedy's diagnosis is just pathetic. She needs to stop.

She's making it easy for me because I never had any respect for her to start with. This isn't the first time she's made that reference, she did it back in March as well. She needs to just disappear and keep what little dignity she has left.

Wow, she really did. That's incredible. That woman is the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen. I hope she gets destroyed. That is definitely not the kind of person we want running a country.

She could give a shit less about running the country and helping the citizens of this country, this always has been about her being able to say "I'm President of the United States". It's a power trip, nothing more, nothing less. In typical Clinton fashion, they always think they are the most important piece of any puzzle.

It amazes me that she's gotten this far and it just shows what a big group of mindless sheep the American public truly is. Since 1988, either someone with the last name of Bush or Clinton has been in the White House. For people who will be able to vote for the first time this year, those are the only names they've ever seen in the White House. That in itself should be reason enough to make sure we elect someone without one of those last names.

both of them need to be stopped..wtf is wrong with these people. if they care so much about people, why not write a check to an irs and pay more taxes instead of trying to dictate stupid fiscal policies on people.

Agreed but it's worse then that. Just like Bush tried to show he was a better president then his dad, Hillary would try to show that she was a better president then Bill. We see where that kind of pissing match has gotten us.

i'm no hilary supporter but you guys are being absolutely ridiculous and i feel like i'm watching tim russert on meet the press.

any first grader could tell you those comments weren't implying anything about obama's assassination. she was simply making an argument why she's still in the race -- because it's not fucking over! obama is not the nominee yet nor is he in an overwhelming commanding lead.

people have been putting her out of the race for months now even when the race is far from being over. i don't get it, i simply don't.

what about all the controversial comments obama had made?!? oh, he didn't mean it like that, did he? whatever!

by the way, i'm a republican - i want them both to lose. i just hate how NBC news and fanboy america makes conclusions and buries people before anything even happens.

I'm with you, I don't want either one in the White House but I disagree that the race is "far from being over". The clock is at 12 on Hillary's campaign and the bell has rung for the 4th or 5th time, it won't be long now before the 12th ring sounds and it's over. She's about out of options and Obama will hit the magic number within a couple of weeks. It will be over before the convention. Not that it will matter, this prolonged race has really taken a toll on the Democratic Party and I'm not sure they can recover in time to win the general election unless Mccain really screws up.

I'll give Obama credit, he is a dynamic speaker and really knows how to work a crowd. Problem is there is no substance to the message. I do think he really believes what he is saying, he just doesn't have the experience nor the people on his side necessary to make any of it happen.

Watch the link posted above. Keith Olbermann said every single thing on my mind and then some. I actually clapped after his speech was over.

To say that you don't understand the negative undertone in what she said would put you in the very very small minority, aside from her mindless followers. Even most of her followers must be slapping themselves on the forehead after what she said.

She basically said, in very simple words, "I'm hanging around in case someone kills the other nominee". Simple as that. No twisting words, no way to interpret it any other way, that's exactly what she just said. And as Keith Olbermann said, what the hell do you think would happen if he DID get killed? No one would run? Well obviously you could come back in if you were the next leading nominee and the first was killed, so the remark is completely and ridiculously asinine.

There's absolutely no way to take it other than, one, she has no clue how the primaries work, and that would be pretty poor for someone who wants to run the entire country, or two, as yet another incredibly negative jab at her opposition.

I can't even begin to describe what a low life piece of scum she now is in my eyes. She truly is the bottom of the bottom, and she has the audacity to expect people to elect her as the leader of our country? My God, she's more sick and twisted than anyone could have even ever imagined.

I don't believe she intended the undertone which she conveyed, but this is the last nail in her politcal coffin. It's too easy to blow up, and it will be blown up over the next 3 weeks while superdelegates flock to Obama.

It doesn't quite matter much, there's very little substance over the nomination at this point. Hers and Obama's policies are very similar, and he's the better person for the job. There's no substance in their race anymore, everything that could have been said, has been.

Exactly, I did not get the impression she actually said that, but should have thought about it and how it will get interpreted...

I disagree...as the timing of her words seem to reflect her campaign's level of desperateness. As Olberman points out...she has referenced this many times before, but toned it down w/ less specific terms w/ out using the actual word "assassinated"...now the campaign is in hail mary mode and she reverts back to using explicit terms. I'm through giving her the benefit...too many examples of dirty politics - Olbermans list of examples where the Cilnton campaign "went there" is spot on.

I started out being a Hillary supporter. I was in her corner when this campaign started. She not only has lost my support, but my respect - and her husband has severely impacted his legacy..esp. w/ the black community - the one demographic who always had his back.
