any way to enable the blining light on the rearview miror?I don;t have the factory alarm but do like the blinking light as a deterrent. Any ideas?

Mine blinks and I do not have the alarm.

Dunno about the new ones, but E46 just needed to have the option selected at the dealer. I don't see a need for the alarm when I have a blinky light and insurance

Man, lot of work for a workaroundl! Just get the alarm for $250 shipped from Circle, 1 hour installation and have the dealer code it. The real thing is way better than an idiot light, IMO.

It came that way,so I suspect it can be programmed by the dealer.
