Wasn't tryin to ruin his day - just trying to give some advice. Even with a lease, I'd want to know if the drivetrain had been overworked durring breakin.

Great find! Congrats on your new car. It looks great. There's plenty of time to come back to the M3 anyhow.

I would love to hear your impressions of the SMG as compared to what has already been said about the DCT.

Who is buying an ///M car for its fuel economy or lack thereof?

I'd much much rather have an M3 over an M6. The 6 is just too heavy and it has old SMG technology. Sub par compared to the 3.

Congrats. Looks like the market for 100K+ cars in the US is really hurting.

The other day I went to the Audi dealer and they had an A8L for 15k off.

A few days ago I went to jaguar to look at the XKR (just for kicks) the cars sticker was around 105k, I asked the dealer if he could do 15k of since I saw an Audi with 15k off- he told me he would do 20K off.

Clearly there is a lot of competition and not a lot of people buying 100K+ plus sports cars. Lets just hope the M3 doesn't sell as well as BMW wants so we can start seeing some good deals.

Congrats. Very nice find. I myself was 3rd in line for a M3 coupe but ended up buying an 06 M5. I am absolutely in love with this car. I'm sure I would have loved the M3 too. Either way, enjoy it. They're all great cars.

+1
IT'S A LEASE, WHO CARES!!!
It could have 5K miles and been dogged since day one.
I would take the M6 over the M3 too

Why? BMW can worry about it... Granted I wouldn't want my car to be broken for an extended period of time but that's what lemon laws are for!

Even though I don't like the 6, (actually i despise it) that car is sick.

Dealer by me is really pushing their M5 & M6s. M5 for $775, $10K down. Drop the down to $5K and still cheaper than an M3 for a $95K car. Give it three more months and if the economy stays the way it is going, you will see great deals on M3s as well.

Congrats on you M6. It is great looking.

Congratulations.

That said, I wouldn't have done it. The M6 is a GT (cruiser) and the M3 is a performance car. The key difference is weight - a lot more of it in the M6 than the M3 and you'd notice the difference on the twisties. Maybe it won't matter to you but I wouldn't want the M6. Nice looking ride though especially if you're a poseur (not that you are).

Damn guys, who cares if it's not new (because it's not an 08) or cause of this and that and warranty, props to the OP for getting a deal and enjoy in good health! Nice color combo!
