My New Silverstone M3

Here it is. My new Silverstone II E92, with Fox Red and M DCT. Saw it for the first time about 2 hours ago. It still has the spacers on and isn't clean though. Interestingly, parked behind it, is an individual (Moonstone) M3. I was thinking about this colour after seeing it on a standard coupe and also on a 6 series at the Paris motorshow, and it looked fantastic there under the lights, but in the sunshine it looks just like titanium silver. In fact, I thought it was a special order in titanium until the dealer told me it was Moonstone. That is a bit of a waste to be honest. Silverstone looked much nicer.

Very nice Mofo. Congrats. Throw down some tint and it will look ill.

I hear Moon is a great color as well.

Congratulations! Very nice choice in colors! IMHO Moonstone looks very bland I like the hint of blue in the Silverstone much better

Congrats on your car and color. I can't decide if I like Moonstone on the other hand. Hard to tell from that pic.

Thanks. I do plan to tint it.

Yeah, I was surprised with how Moonstone looked in the sunlight. Exactly like Titanium. I'd seen it under show lights and it looked great, but to be honest, it looked fairly ordinary under sun.

With the help of an online translator. Not sure when I'm taking delivery, but you're welcome to come down to Maastricht any time.

I'm English and don't speak a word of Dutch.

Not sure yet. Never had tints done on a car, but a colleague at work has just had his 5 series done. I will have a look at his then decide.

I just saw an M on the road for the first time and it was absolutely stunning. I saw it roll by me and my jaw dropped. Then I was behind him at a light and I was like "god damn that's going to be me soon." Haha. It has such a presence on the road.

It's amazing to me how my opinion changes on SSII. I saw it online originally and was underwhelmed. Then I saw pics with the blue in it; at one point after that, it was my first choice. Then I saw it at the dealer and saw no blue so I said "No TiAg for me" and went for IB, which I still love. However, when I see SSII with the blue, I am reminded why I liked it orignally. It definitely looks better than Moonstone imho.
