SIB 00 01 07 anyone?, 1200 mile service

Hey gang, anyone know what this bulletin contains?

Went in for my 1200 mile service today - they did the fluids (oil, trans, diff) and standard scope & run-in check, however they did not perform the intake silencer change or the micro filter change. They instead referenced SIB 000107 for the reason...

I know these items have been discussed but I'm hoping for some technical insight from the BMW bulletin as to why because my key data indicated that these things needed to be done.

Maybe it was just a clarification that the air cleaner element change that is listed in the owner's service manual is in error. It makes no sense that would need changing after 1,200 miles as it does not get dirty more rapidly during break-in. The microfilter is not listed in that booklet for frist service at all, but for subsuquent maintenance.
