There is no gas tax. Don't pay it. I also wouldn't pay an admin fee.

They charged you for fuel? On an $80K car?

Figures are same as mine except the adm. fee is 299 instead of 548, I checked it with two other dealerships before I took my car and they all are charging 299 and I am talking about in March.
Jaiman, did you get your M3 without paying that 1200? If you can confirm, I will then talk to my dealership because they receive this notice JUST before I took the car in March, and even the dealership wanted me to confirm that any of my friend has bought the car at other dealership, so please let me know. thanks.

i haven't bought one yet, but a number of people have posted that there was no gas tax in ontario on their cars. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127686

I guess we are talking about two different taxes here, one is the gas tax of 1200 which we have to pay in Ontario, other is the green levy tax which the M3 does not require to pay; I THINK the misunderstanding occur because both of them are 1200.
I know the M5 buyer has to pay 4k (or maybe 5) of the green levy tax.
Guys, maybe we can meet sometime?

Looking at my invoice now:
Freight and PDI - $2,495
Additional freight (bringing the car in from a Vancouver dealer) - $350
Registration fee - $395
Tire tax - $16.00
Air tax - $100
Winter mats and trunk tray (I am just going to take the ones out of my 335 and take this charge off) - $279.95

I went through this same process before on my E92 335, the only thing I really don't like is the huge PDI charge. All they do is hook the car up to a computer for a few hours. There should be $1000 for freight and that's it.
