..Can anything be done with the single yellow LED in the corner of the headlight

i am going to do the angel eye mod to plasma-white..
but what can i do about this ugly LED in the corner of my headlight..

i see someone went as far to try and have new headlights manufactured but i feel like there has to be a DIY mod for it... somehow, hopfully!

I am working on it...should be getting soem headlights in shortly and will be figuring out if it will be a DIY or made to order. I will be seeing if I can mod the angels at the same time so that the outer ring glows jsut as brigth as center ring.

I will post soon.

i dont really think there's a way to mod the angel eyes to make them equally bright... the only option so far is Belloff or piaa Leds

the other way to get rid of the led is to just cut one of the wire on the headlight harness....

im really thinkin about cutting it.. will it cause any problems? and which wire is it???
i dont know why but this thing really bugs me.. (completly ruins my angel eye mod)

i cut mine no errors... its the second wire!!!

i dont see why the m3 will have a diff harness than the e92...

i like it much better.. coz the led shines way too bright and it sticks out...

The LED is the side marker--without it you don't have a side visible light. I don't think it looks bad at all, just a little pinpoint.

we're not talkin about the side marker!!! plus the side marker are filment bulbs 194's

Yes, that is the side marker on the M3. The ones at the side vents only function as turn signals.

uhh we're talking about the red circle in the pic that is on the HEad light, i dont know why u are bringing up "side marker" up ??? have u seen your head light on lately?

It's in the headlight enclosure, but it is oriented to the side and is functioning as a side marker light, as required by USDOT.

and usdot wants the reflectors on the side... thats the only requirement..

No, the side turn signal in the vent blinks. A marker by definition is constant on.

Reflectors or lights are permissable. The M3 does not have reflectors visible from the side, hence the light under discussion.

Especially since it's right next to the much larger parking/turn signal ight, which is what is next to the angel eyes.
