BMW directing cars away from the US
-
I don't know whether this will apply across the board, ie to E92 M3 etc, I expect it will. The poor U.S. economic climate is causing BMW issues, and causing BMW AG management to allocate cars to better opportunities. I got pooh pooh'd months back for suggesting that BMW (among many companies) would face problems w/ over-leveraged consumer, poor housing (HELOC 'ATM' was a catalyst for car sales) market and slowing growth. Here's a quote from FT: " The US economic slowdown on Tuesday hit the world’s two largest luxury carmakers as Chrysler returned to haunt Daimler and the credit crunch struck at BMW.
