thanks, that's it, although I didn't see the part about the sunroof restarting the V1. Guess I need to find another method.

You are correct...there are two plugs that both contain a green wire with a white stripe. Only one of them works. Hardest part was getting the sunroof section unbuckled (I was nervous that I was going to screw up my headliner). I actually had a custom mute button made that runs over to the left A pillar about eye level. You can take electrical tape and wrap around in a couple of spots that bulk up that area so that it will stay tucked behind the headliner. I'm still wrestling with whether or not above the rear view mirrow or the top left corner is the best place for my detector.

In my 535i, it seems like the embedded tint strip was twice as light as it is on the M. It hides my suction cups pretty well. The STi was my only option as I'm in Va.

just hardwired my wifes 535ixT. I used the green wire with yellow stripe that goes to the mirror (universal remote?). and it works fine.

It is a whole LOT easier if you remove the drivers side sun visor mount and clip (left and right mount points) and then the passenger side sun visor clip. the whole top then drops down and allows you to easily access the retiaining clips for the center console. Which then gives you access to all that you need to get power and ground for your Radar mount.

Send a message via Skype™ to doba_s
there are two holes that you can use ... just get the right size small screw and it will be your ground ... use the green/white wire in the second connector from the left i believe to tap in ...
