Well, it depends on what you consider a free society. Technically, the only obligations my model would have for its citizens is contracted labor. Once you receive specialized education, you would have to work in that field at least a certain number of years. Other than that, there are few economic limitations that I would consider overbearing.

Except the requirement to provide someone else with that equal minimum, an amount subject to continuous increase since it would be subject to majority vote. Is it far that some people only have used Dodge Neons while others have new M3's? Of course not, the equal minimum would have to be BMW's. Is it fair that some have old CRT televisions while other have 50in flat panels? Clearly the equal minimum would have to be 42in HDTV plasmas. I think you get my point.

US is a great country but the Government needs major reform, our government officials are corporate whores who would give up your life for some cash anyday...
Just like Church and state are seperated, Government and Corporations should be seperate as well.
