about electing hillary
Does anyone else see how messed up electing Hillary Clinton would be? I am not going into the nuts and bolts of politics or policy. My main concern is this:
George W. Bush - 1989-1993 William J. Clinton - 1993-2001 George H.W. Bush - 2001-2009 (If elected) Hillary Clinton - 2009-2013 or 2017 That basically means that we had the same two families hold the highest office in the nation for approximently 24-28 years. That is just an insane concentration of power.

She'll run but she won't win. Unfortunately I don't think our country or the rest of the world is ready for the USA to have a female president. Too many people are still narrow minded. Maybe in another 10-20 years but not now.

It's great how a lot of people are saying it will be Obama and Clinton in the end.... but do you REALLY believe that a black man or a woman will be the next president? I don't believe it. I don't have a problem with a black man or a woman being president, but I just don't think there are enough people in America (who vote) who are ok with it.

I disagree.
Although, that (black, female) will play a role, Bush has drained this country so much and put us 10 years behind, that there is no way that empty headed creep like Guiliani (SP?) will ever win. On the other hand, other Republican candidates would have better chance, though... I say we WILL have the first in Jan 2009 -- female (most likely) or a black prez. It will also be very important who's the VP. |

I don't think the drain on the Economy can so easily be attributed to Bush as so many people believe and proclaim.
Now I am no Bush supporter or advocate, but it is ridiculous to believe so. Just because the economy was on an upswing during Clinton's years does not mean he can take credit for the economy. In fact, Clinton's administration set up much of the downturn in the economy that we are now seeing. |

But if you put a trillion dollar war on top of it, and if the other nations look at you differently that they used to and get away from your business' -- then, yes, the current admin fucked it up big time. I said many times -- while other nations progressed in the last 10 years or so -- we did not move fwd a bit... |

I like Obama, but he's inexperienced. Coachable though as we've seen as the debates progress. Still, I do believe that Hilary looks sharp, smart and very experienced on ALL subjects -- very solid. As for Republicans, I'd like to see anyone bu Guilliani run. He's realized that he's done exactly what anyone else in the office would have done on 9/11/01 so, he's trying to show his other good sides -- which don't exist... |
