That and the fact that she just lets off the gas, then a second or two later pushes the clutch in to shift, then she down shifts without rev matching. Pretty much the worst manual driving instructions I've ever seen. ![]()

That car also needs some serious cleaning.

One of the main reasons I love manuals is to rev-match on downshifts.^

![]() I used to tease my mom when I was younger when she'd go over a bump or pothole and say "ouch" and when I'd ask why should said ouch when it didn't hurt her, she would say she felt the cars pain, haha. Now that I'm older I can completely relate. ![]()

dont need a tutorial. the link i posted has lots of vid's and information that's useful. just blip until you learn the "right" blip to rev-match your car at the gear ur changing into. like anything else with manual driving, it takes practice.
you can do it 2 ways: 1. depress clutch 2. put in neutral 3. blip the gas 4. put in gear 5. undepress clutch the other way which saves ur synchro's 1. depress clutch 2. put in neutral 3. undepress clutch 4. blip the gas 5. depress clutch 6. put in gear 7. undepress the clutch both ways have to be executed (after practice) within a fraction of a second. it might take u 5 seconds the first few-100 times, but eventually u'll get it, and will become automatic. be safe, keep an eye on the road and dont lose ur attention on other cars when u practice |
