Are you upgrading for track or road use?

All this discussion about upgrading brakes and supension makes me wonder why? BMW spends 1000's of hours developing and testing these systems, so what exactly needs improvment? I suppose if you are running your car at or near the limit all the time or tracking it alot these upgrades make sence. I ordered an M3 so I would not have to upgrade any parts to have a great car.

No need to upgrade suspension for track use. It lessens the gap between the wheel and the fender which makes it look MUCH better. Brakes are more of a track thing and they look cooler with huge 6 or 8 piston brakes and bigger rotors.
