RS4 is rare.... i bet in a year or two there'd be tons of S4s, S5s and M3s running around but not RS4s...

nothing wrong with a RS4 but this is the 3rd one I have seen with ~5K miles on that's selling for ~$60K, makes me wonder why so many people are un-loading them so soon.
If the FIRST OWNERS were like us waiting for the M3 and can't see me dropping it so soon unless there was a problem. I know gas price has shot up but don't really know if that would be an issue for people who can afford a $70K car in the first place. IMO the old-design A4 body is looking quite dated, like a 6+ year old design while the 3-series looks more modern. I don't know what the 3-series will look like in 5 years when it's out of date but today the exterior of the RS4 does not match the M3 (IMO). The interior of the RS4 is great tho and well worth the cost especially with the pre-owned discount. But if driving feel and performance is the main reason, the M3 is the car to buy and the price is worth it (IMO). |

for $65k fully loaded car, I'd consider new and go c63 AMG ![]() ... add that to short list, the caveat is worst gas mileage and service/maint isnt included ![]() other than that I go M3 over a used RS4

Old design that has already been replaced, in fact the RS4 production has been stopped for a while now. RS4 is a great car, I 've taken one through some twisties and let me tell you it is a corker! It has a few drawbacks, however, drinks oil, manual only and it has the dreaded Audi clutch which is very deep and engages at the very top of its travel. I went for the M3 since I drive in traffic often and dont want three pedals, I prefer the looks and I also believe it would beat it in all disciplines even if sometimes it would be very close.

I'm an Audi guy (which begs the question as to why I'm on a BMW board hehe), but as much as I love the RS4, it is overpriced. At first, this was because of the weak dollar, but looking at the MSRPs for the M3 and IS-F quickly debunked that theory.
I'd wait for the new RS4, which is rumored to be going back to its bi-turbo origins like the original S4, but this time with the 4.2L V8 :-)~ Insiders say to expect at least 450 hp, adjustable suspension, and somewhat cheaper pricetag. Audi's S4 gets better with each revision, and I can't wait for this upcoming one. |

In the UK the TT-S will be £33K which compares to the RS4's price of £50K. If you compare the US vs UK prices of the RS4. $69K vs £50K Logical maths would assume that the TT-S will cost $46K. That is a heck of a lot less than the $66K people are telling you. |

I own an RS4 and have a M3 on order. The thrill is gone. Maybe its the AWD or the lack of any tech (I call the S button the Sound button, cuz thats the only thing that seems to change). Its just a very fast luxury sedan with a 6MT. For $73000 I want to be thrilled every time I start the engine, and I am not. I must admit the interior is much nicer and its much more stealthy almost to the point of being invisible. Its an all weather dirver that will never scare you. The M3 is just more fun to dive!
