Painting a 19" to 18" or similar color

Anyone thought about getting their OEM 19"s painted to match the darker 18"s?

Thoughts? Not sure how this would look, but definitely looking into the possibility of darker rims for the JB. Any ideas on costs?

well you would think, if done properly, it would have the same resiliency as the OE rims.. or at least of some aftermarket rims.

Costs.. now that's the magic question.

I've had several rims refinished by a good local wheel guy. The paint is durable, and they look factory. If no repair is necessary it should runt $150 - 175 pre wheel, including dismount, remount & balance.

that's pretty cheap greg. do they sandblast them first and start from the base metal? i'd think that a gun metal grey powder coat would be a good way to replicate the color of the 18"s, but not too experienced in this department.
