Reviews on the Nav

Sorry if this is already posted in a different thread... But I've read that BMW's Nav in previous models was not very good. Has it gotten better in the '08 M3? Also a big sticking point for me leaving my garmin is whether or not the BMW Nav would let you bypass the safety switch that doens't let you interrogate the Nav while driving.

Anyone have any feed back on theirs?

dont think its much better then before but you are able to modify your navi while driving.

All I can say using many great GPS's, I had no idea the in-car units were so horribly bad.

Have you, or anyone tried voice inputs? I don't hold much hope for it, since in phone mode it can't understand my wife's name, Janet.
