Blacklines or not?

My AW E90 Sedan will be here in a week or so.....anyone have any side by side comparisons of the look of the different tail lights? Also, where do you buy them?

Mile One lists them for $245. Page 4 about half way down:
http://www.mileoneparts.com/partloca...47&startrow=76

I think they look far better than the stock taillights....

Just wondering, with the blacklines, which light is the one that changes from red to white on the upper outside portion of the taillight. Does it appear to be red when it's illuminated with a red bulb or something of that sort?

Here is how the standard rear lights look:

Black lines:

The part that is changed is the upper outside portion from red to white. Also, the "triangle" on the truck lid goes from a white outline to a black outline.

The replaced upper outer red portion is the turn signal. Stock is flashing red, and I believe that black lines flash amber instead. I am not positive about that however.

+1. Blacklines are a must-have. I'm shocked they're not standard on the M3.

They're just for a different look. I'd have expected BMW to make these look different in the E90 M3 than either the standard 3-series or the blacklines. Oh, well.

My AW is due this week and I am definitely getting the blacklines to replace the stock....I think they would look ok on a black car but will really set it apart on the white.

I wish they were "whitelines"! I'd like just the standard white look, but extended as the blacklines do - just not dark smoke!

photoshop job...

Still, it looks kind of goofy from this angle.....

No, I don't believe so. The e92 taillights aren't ugly like the e90's, so no need for blacklines really...

I'm switching back to OEM. Blacklines look a little to ricey for me. Like new set of blacklines heading to the FS section.

I'm on the fence on this. OEM look is a bit better I think. I'd really have to see it in person I think.
