Sedan + M-DCT....I got $1500 off but unfortunately I'm being told it won't go into production until June

Long wait ahead! What kind of deals has everyone been seeing in the area?

I ordered from Sterling on March 17, I paid a deposit and paid sticker plus their 249 admin fee. It wasnt a great deal but they wouldn't budge. I have a build date of week 19

I drove to FairFax BMW to see what the Silverstone II looks like in person, Asad, the CA enthusiast showed me his new M5 with Silvertone II

Wow! Its freaking Great, My Pants got wet lolz

He asked me to hop in for a short drive, and its Freaking FAST!

... like in FAST you knowww! lolz Unfreaking believable, my back was glued to the back seat! and my jaws were very tight cuzzin! and swearing! like theres no tomorrow!

at the end of the drive he try to hand me the keys and said "you can drive it"

lolz!!!! I didnt have the nerve to pay for $90k if I wreck it

Asad's M5 was DCT btw, and now its making me think!

... I want it! but should I drop the tech package in leui of DCT?

My business partner had a 2003 SMG M3

when he was trying to sell it 2 years ago he had a serious hard time getting rid of it, everyone hated it when they drove it and some people were scared of the maintenance after it goes out of warranty, based on his experience I ordered a 6MT.

I like the DCT in some ways, I like the idea of putting it in auto and just driving. sometimes I dont want to shift every few seconds in stop and go traffic for example.

but I still like to row gears the old way.

M5s don't come with DCT. I think you mean SMG.

M-DCT is new and they only offer it to M3s for now.

It will go on to every other models in the future though.
