Sup Boys,

My service light just came on and I barely am at 800 miles. I thought service was at 1200 ? I was considering waiting until I reach 1200 to take it in, will this harm the vehicle if i do so? Thanks in advance !

take it in, its not uncommon for the light to come up a little early especially with the first service and break in miles...don't wait, b/c you never know exactly why it came on its not just an oil change done @ the first service...

I got the same thing at 775 miles. I'm just going to keep driving till 1200.

Mine came on at 700 miles, it has 80 more miles since. But I'll wait until it reaches 1200 miles.

I don't know if it is so straightforward Monsta. If you take it in now, you'll get lubes changed, but not the filter. Second concern I have is - is 800 miles long enough to break in the engine, tranny, and diff? If not, you'll live with contaminated lubes until the next scheduled service, which will be a LONG time, specially for the tranny and diff

As far as the "service light" mine has said a couple times at startup (i dont think everytime) up on the idrive screen "service due" is that all it does? I dont see anything on the main screen inbetween the gauges. I'm right at about 800miles.
