I ordered enhanced premium sound but the dealer made a mistake and I checked my build and its not on there Im a bit upset because I love music and I got the Ipod and Sirius options.

I have not listened to the standard or enhanced. I have a coupe on the way

Can anyone comment on the comparisons between the two and what the real difference is in terms of hardware )speakers amps etc)

I did Mr Maxima and most guys comented without even having their cars yet so i want to hear some comments from owners who have their cars for a month of so or who compared. My dealer doesnt have the enchanced in stock to listen.

Did I stress I am so pissed the dealer screwed this up I will not want to go aftermarket on a lease or with a sophisticated CAN BUS car like the M3 its a major headache waiting to happen.

Car says scheduled for production but that was only today.

If i can audition both and decide i will have to change my order no choice.

Anyone in the NYC metro avail to meet up? PM me

Since the car has not gone production yet your dealer can make the change.

I can only compare it to the Logic 7. I think it is night and day.Enhanced is much clearer at high volumes and has at least twice the bass. Very good factory system. I would think the base system is a step below Logic7. Unless you are going to go with an aftermarket upgrade which can be difficult on the BMW, I would either try to get a significant discount for the SA's error or cancel your order if music is a must for you. I got enhanced because I didn't want to worry about the aftermarket issue in the future.

If you love music that much I think you should get what you want. You are paying big bucks so make sure you get everything you want. You don't want to regret it later. Tell your CA to change your order, if that can't be then see if they can allocate another production slot for you. Also they might be able to trade with another dealer. You've waited this long, get what you want brother.

I got the enhanced and it's pretty good, not great. If this was the upgraded version, I can't imagine how much of a piece of S is the standard. Keep in mind that I'm an A/V designer/engineer by trade, so I'm probably alot more picky than the average Joe. As far as upgrading it later with aftermarket stuff, it will not be easy and cost effective. Just get the upgraded system and be done with it.

Thanks guys I will call the GM tomorow and see what they can do and true if i wanted to sacrafice options i would take something in stock in black or silver with no wait and save a bundle

My car should arrive end of May.

I am a huge music buff and I have a sick system in my house that cost more than the M3 itself this is why I am so annoyed here.

when I drive my Porsche 911 Cabriolet it has the BOSE and to be honest the car is so damn loud and fun I never listen to the stereo I wonder if this is the same reaction ill get to the M3 but i was shocked that the car was so quiet in stock form so I want my tuned LOUD and clear.

I loved My Logic 7 in my 550i it was pretty good if i recall

Find an M5/M6 at a dealer with the premium audio. It's the same thing.

I wish you would qualify your negative statement. Enhanced is better than Logic 7, I had Logic 7 and it bounced me out of the fuxking car with great clarity. So enlighten us with how this system is only "pretty good". Are you saying it is not worth the money? Poor clarity? Poor bass response? What then??

You know, the speakers might just need some break-in, but I'm a little disappointed with the Enhanced myself. I had Logic 7 in my 335, and it blew me away... mind-bogglingly clear and crisp with enough bass response to shake your butt in the seat. Enhanced seriously sounds kind of flat to me, despite all the fussing I've done with the EQ. I'll give it a few days for the speakers to settle in before I pass final judgement, though.

Exactly my thoughts.....maybe there are different versions of the L7 over the years....my 08 535i L7 system was phenomenal.
