335 vs M3
I have a brand new E92 and had a hard time getting away from a 335 today. We didnt ever get a chance to start from a dead stop but any time he would get near me i could not shake him. I thought My new M was much faster. At 45 - 60 MPH they arent. I only have 500 miles on my car.. maybe when its broken in.....

![]() It is shocking that your car requires service at 653 miles. Do you think it was losing to the vette, the 335 or maybe the Mini Cooper. |

Did you rev it or just maintaining the 5k rule before break in?
Anywayz m3 and 335 are pretty close in performance. M3 has a high revving engine whereas the 335 is a torque monster. Both are good cars, but M3 is a superior car in handling or the feel or the looks. Thats about enough. I dont want to make this another 335 vs m3 thread. Please wait till break-in to rev your car or it can totally mess it up.

this is what BMW did. created a M3 then they fucked up and put a 335 badge on it by mistake, then said okay let's make another 328 and label it M3 and sell it to people with 20k markup. 335 is the M3, M3 is just a 328 and hence 335 >>> M3.
feel any better now??? Jeez @ these threads |

For all the M3 owners that are sick of the 335i owners saying a modded 335i can keep up with or even beat a M3.
The quicker more agile 135i was just tested by Motor Trend. Reno-Fernley Raceway, lap distance 2.74 miles. Motor Trend lap times: 135i - 163.93 sec M3 sedan - 154.2 sec Diff. of 9.73 seconds, I believe it would be a bigger gap with a stock 335i. So to all the 335i fanboys thinking adding $10,000 worth of aftermarket parts to a 335i will make a car as fast as M3. Think again. The performance gap in lap times, is HUGE. I like to see how much cash it would take to make up 10 plus seconds. ![]() |
