ECS Tuning Euro Bumper Review

Hey fellas,

I recently picked up a ECS Tuning Euro Bumper (replica) and thought I'd share my impressions with the forum.

A little history for those of you who are going to say "just shave and fill your OEM bumper"... I have already done that twice. Each time the job came out perfect. But over time, I developed a lot of wear and tear on my OEM bumpers. I have dealt with some broken tabs for the fender lining and some extra holes in the bottom of the bumper from a GT4 lip. In the end I figured it would be easier to just start with a new bumper.

I am in the process of retiring my car from daily use and figured I'd take this opportunity to fix a lot of the problem areas and will be re-spraying the car anyway so all of this stuff just made sense.

My impressions of the ECS Bumper...

I was a little nervous because of the cost, I thought I might receive something cheap made from fiber glass. When it arrived it was boxed up really nicely and was shipped using a freight service.

Inside the box, the bumper was wrapped in bubble wrap and an extra plastic layer.

Out of the box the bumper looked great. Same flexibility and material as an OEM bumper.

I took a few measurements to check out the thickness of the material in comparison to OEM and it was pretty much dead on.

Will provide additional reviews after it is mounted but appears like it will fit like a glove.

For anyone in LA interested in an OEM Euro bumper (btw this is an actual euro bumper, only the headlight washers were shaved/filled) I have one for sale for $300 picked up. Just needs to be resprayed and a few rocks chips and scrapes need to be filled. (See pics). It does have a few tabs missing for the fender liners but it doesnt prohibit them from being installed, Im just getting more anal now that the car isnt being driven as much. It also has a lil bit of damage to the piece that connects to the passenger fender but again, just me being anal.

Rear bumper has challenge race diffuser molded in and gintani side skirts molded in on the side.

Thanks for the mini review! Can't wait to see the car once you get her back together again!

I just picked mine up and it fits spot on. Only thing I did not like was the $250 shipping lol.
