So nice and clean. Nice colors.
Watch out when it rains and the road turns a bit and you give gas.... I did that yesterday. Some dude in a ford gave me the finger and made some noice with his pathectic engine and i hit the gas and was drifting for a few seconds. There are power in these wheels. I almost hit him with my rear but the car nicely took over and put me in the right lane again.
New tires are not much worth in rain.

I see Ken was able to have one so I have to ask is it true that I can have a test drive at your dealership? I assume also that as far as M3 mats go you'll have them readily available? Thanks

Ken
It's great to hear that South Bay BMW took such good care of you. So.... that begs the question, what are you going to leave the "other" BMW dealer for feedback regarding your transaction, Hmmmm?

Rubber side down!

YAY!!! congrats, Ken. Love her and use her wisely.

What other options are on it except the tech package and premium?

You know its kinda funny because when i bought my E90 i struggled between the E90 and the new IS. they came out at around the same time but ultimately i have to go with BMW -- i grew up in them.

I have to agree with you about iDrive. I learned it within the first 24 hours of owning the car. I dont understand the detractors and car reviewers.

Ken,

Can you take a picture of the Mulroney Window sticker (the white piece of paper plastered on the window showing the MSRP etc) and post it?

Thanks.

After 123 pages, and millions of views and weeks of heated discussion, the M3 is rightfully in dooma350's hand.

Look forward to some nice tasteful mods on your M3!

Congrats! Your perserverance is to be commended.

This is how life should be approached. Never give up until you achieve your goals, especially when you are standing by your principles.

In tribute to Charlton Heston:

"if they want this M3, they will have to pry the steering wheel from my cold dead hands"...

Your storybook ending totally makes up for the terrible dealership experiences that I have had in the past!

Still about eBay

Looks like HAG made good, but this vendetta is far from over.
eBay still sucks:
http://pages.motors.ebay.com/buy/pur...ion/index.html

PP offers protection only for losses associated with eligible transactions for qualifying vehicles in the following situations:

1. You pay for a vehicle and never receive it.

2. You send a refundable deposit for a vehicle and never receive it.

3. You pay for a vehicle and receive it but suffer losses because:
1. The vehicle was determined by a law enforcement agency to have been stolen at the time of the end of the listing.

There's much more, aside from the 50,000 (LOL) cap, but let's look at
other things not "covered"
Situations that are not covered by VPP:

Title / ownership issues

11. Failure to disclose a title brand if another title brand was disclosed in the listing, or if the title was described in the listing as anything but "clear".
12. Failure to receive a certificate of title for a vehicle that was listed with a title brand or with the title being described as anything but "clear".
13. Receiving a title that is not signed, is improperly assigned, or receiving a title but not being able to register the vehicle.
14. Any damage on a vehicle that was listed with a title brand or with the title being described as anything but "clear".
15. Losses based on a vehicle classified by a law enforcement agency prior to being listed on eBay, as "theft recovery" or "previously stolen".

Other

16. Buyer's remorse.
17. Any damage or listing discrepancies that were disclosed to you prior to acceptance of the vehicle.
18. Any damage that could have been discovered upon a reasonable inspection.
19. Any damage that does not impact the safety or operability of the vehicle.
20. Repairs or alterations made by you to the vehicle without the consent of the VPP Administrator.
21. Inspection costs, warranty fees, taxes paid, or any other fees or expenses that are not expressly covered under these Terms and Conditions.
22. Transactions occurring directly between the parties (i.e. phone, email, mail, in person, by overnight messenger, etc…) and/or on another website rather than through the eBay website. Note that all transactions occurring through the eBay website (motors.ebay.com) will be confirmed by a message from eBay in your My Messages inbox in My eBay.

Dooma!

At last!

She looks great and you look very happy!

Congratulations!

I said you would be famous but didn't expect you to recognised on your first drive - just goes to show...

Hope you have a fantastic time in your new baby and that it has been worth all the stress and hassle.

Best of luck to you.

maybe admins should start looking this thread as the saga is over?

Anyhow, to this point, I still think negatively of Husker. Their latest PR advertisement is even worse, but hey, that's what the media is all about.

Ken,

The car looks gorgeous! That third picture with the car in the parking spot with the driver side door open makes the car really look good. I hope you get much enjoyment from your new M3.

I had been trying to follow this thread but took some time off. Was he actually able to purchase the M3 for the original Ebay price? I recently purchased an E90 and avoided getting a quote from Lincoln, NE because of this crap.

He was. But it took quite a few hoops and a few more "But wait!" steps (and some legal bills) before it actually happened. Personally, I think you probably did the right thing in your avoidance.

Too bad they weren't smart enough to look at the big picture and say "oops we f..... up but we will make this right". They would have received positive press instead and made more money from it rather than less!

NO WAY!

I have not read all the replies you received, but as a retired Canadian lawyer, your situation is not unique but nevertheless rare from a dealership that has earned the status of a BMW dealer.
It appears that you are accomplishing your end following your present procedures. Simply talking (screaming) is sometime the best remedy. If your present track does not bring about a desired end, try:
(A.) Opening discussions with the local Better Business Bureau. (If you wish, this can be done on the Net / phone / written). They are a first rate organization who will assist damaged parties with communications. They also maintain vast files on auto dealerships and the complaints / compliments that goes with the trade.
(B.) Make contact with BMW USA either by phone or via the Net. They are constantly striving to accomodate customer complaints / concerns. Written matters may be addressed all the way up to Tom Purvis himself.
(C.) I see that others have suggested E-Bay routes so I will not go there.
(D.) Have a lawyer, local to the dealership, write a letter on your behalf, suggesting the dealership honor the contract made with you, without further time lapse which will cause financial and other damages to yourself which you will hold the dealership responsible for. (YES, it is a legal and binding contract you have). Sometimes however, because of the small monitiry damages, the chase is not worth the catch. If nothing is resolved at this point, you will have to decide if a legal suit is worth the untimate gain. It would appear, with the circumstances described, that your chances of winning are about 95%. BUT AT WHAT ULTIMATE GAIN?
Best of luck.
By the way, I just took delivery of a BMW 330i for the wife. I am in Springfield, Oregon and the car was in Hickory, North Carolina. I can fully recommend 101% the BMW Mercedes dealership I dealt with......Kit Cannon at Hendrick Motors.
John
