Piano black doesn't have a "kit" part number; you have to order each piece individually. Sorry, I don't have full descriptions of each part. All parts are ordered through BMW AG, and are not in the regular BMW NA system, but are nonetheless obtainable in the US. All prices are US Dollar list prices

You don't need the last three parts listed (...643,...648,...488) unless you're planning to replace the center console parts also which are covered with black leather.

You sure that is the real piano black and not the black mettalic material that is out there?

I am 99% sure this is the real deal. BMW internally does not call it Piano Black, they call it High Gloss Black or something to that effect. For this reason I have a %1 uncertainty.

I will likely order it with 99% certainty so I'll probably find out soon

I think the high gloss black is different from the piano black trim only available from the BMW indvidual range. They are very similar though according to this thread

Yes, the high gloss has the metallic flake in it I was referring to. Not truly Piano Black.

That doesn't sound expensive enough for Piano Black, which I believe is real laquered wood trim? Those prices are comparable to run-of-the-mill plastic trim. My '01 M3 came with gloss black trim which looked cheap and I replaced with Matte Chrome.

Individual Piano black trim costs £585 (fiited of course).
Theres some confusion regarding the material the Piano black is made from. Its not listed under the 'wood trim' section of the individual catalogue, so it may be plastic afterall.

I'm still getting it regardless.
