The New M3 Badge too small?

I was at my dealer today and saw the M3 for the first time and seriously felt like a kid at a candy store. One thing I did notice in person that actually bothered me was the rear M3 Badge is awfully small compared to the E46. This kind of dissappointed me. Dont you all think it should be the same size to stand out like before?

Out of all the things that could bother me with the car; the "badge" being too small is the least of my concerns. I really don't think that should matter.

(wrong forum btw.)

I like the new being more subtle. People that know cars know it is an M.

My younger female cousin once asked me "Cuz, is there something special about your car? I see guys stare at it all the time, but I thought it was just a 3 series."

Bigger badges don't help the clueless; subtle is good.

I though the badge was too small at first too, until i saw the guy in china who made a M3 look-a-like with a E93, he used the E46 badge and it just didnt look right, WAY too big.

I'm going to be going so fast no one will be able to read the badge anyhow. They'll know it was an M3 from the sound of my V8 screaming at 8400rpm. I don't need a badge to make a statement. I'll do that myself.

I have noticed all BMW badges tend to be quite large. The new M3 badge is def alot smaller.

Six badges on the outside, are more than enough.

Large badges detract from the overall "look".

Why, everyone will know it's an M3 even without badges

I dont want every shmuck on the road recognizing what my car is based on only the badge. Let the enthusiasts pick it out of the crowd.

I agree. Understated is better. If it becomes too large, then the badge itself becomes part of the design statement. Think Cadillac. Yikes!
