Hopped in an M3 coupe today.

I was really skeptical of this car before I saw it, leaning toward the C63 AMG. Saw an Alpine White Coupe today in person for the first time. Simply stunning. Pretty much fully loaded, carbon fiber roof, black leather interior, technology package, etc. The sound of that V8 is unbelieveable, especially when being revved. I mean what else can you say, it sounds like a race car. Couldn't drive it, but sat in it and the seats felt very supportive, especially in the shoulder area. The Novillo leather is great. Definitely a smoother, softer feel than the Dakota. The carbon leather trim looks great with the black leather, and you combine those two with the dark headliner and the cockpit just feels right.

It was a weird feeling after following this car for so long from seeing the spy shots to sitting in the driver's seat. Car is a beast.

Can't wait to drive it. I love my 335i, but this car is totally different. Shame on those comparing the 335i to the M3. To those taking delivery of their beasts, enjoy.

Thanks! I was planning on getting the 335 because of the short wait but this def. reassures me that the wait for the M3 is worth it

Nice to hear someone with a Dinan 335i pay respects to the new M3. Makes me feel this car may actually be worth the 15k premium over the 335i.

Are you getting alpine white? If so, you are going to be one happy man when it comes in.

Yep, smaller but thicker. I think I will wait until my 335i lease runs out before I look at seriously the M3. All the kinks will be worked out by then, maybe some updates. Hopefully the price will be lower then too...
