I'm in production as we speak...should be completed this friday the latest. I'm hoping for early april delivery. Should be one of the first M-DCT cars in the state. Hey Domer, I'll be in Houston for a week at the end of this month...mar 28-apr 3. I'd love to check out your ride if you're around!

Congrats you guys. My dealer told me that my M-DKG sedan has been assigned a tentative allocation for a build during the first week in June. Will be a long wait.

On a related note, do any of you know which dealers in Houston will be getting demo cars (or should I say keeping a car to be demo'd)? My dealer (Clear Lake) told me they will be selling their demo allocation so they likely won't have a car to test drive for a while. Thought this might be helpful for members who want to get behind the whell as soon as possible.

Hutchins thats great news congratulations! Hopefully you will make it on one of the boats that are leaving tommorow or on the 6th

1) I will let you know if I am in town that weekend for sure, so I can show off the whip
2) I saw ur post on the other forum and think it would be very very tough for you to make it on that boat that leaves on the 10th but a few days after that is doable.

Should be Saturday March 8th or early next week. Car is scheduled to leave VPC on th 5th.

Mine will be in SC on the 15th and depending on how long they play with it before they truck it to Houston... I would guess no later than March 25th

If this is believable: My car arrived at port on the 16th and still has not left according to my CA. Mduval who is going through the same dealer as I am left a few days ago and arrived at port well after I did. I really am getting sad about this. It's like someone doesn't want me to have my dream.

I was talking to my sales associate today and he said that the first car they were supposed to get still isn't at the dealer. Originally, it was scheduled to arrive late last week. He told me I can come to the dealer and sniff around it but I can't drive it. All I know is that it is white/black/cf trim.

I hope it comes tomorrow as I've been off since last week moving into my new house and I'm going back to work on Wednesday....not that one couldn't take a long lunch to go and examine a new M

Yeah...that's what I'm thinking...the next boat leaves on the 19th arriving in SC on April 3rd. Looks like I won't be getting my baby until the 2nd week of April...Oh well...I'll be in the bahamas anyway so at least I won't be sitting around in Texas obsessing over it...I can do that on the beach!!!

I'm excited...I was in Houston this past weekend driving my buddies E46M3 with SMG so I could have something to compare it too. I love the E46 with SMG and can only imagine that the M-DCT is going to be so much better. Can't wait!!

What year was your buddies car. My good friend has an 02' with SMG and I'm not a big fan. The shifts are pretty abrupt and harsh no matter what mode it's in. I've heard that later M3's with SMG II are significantly better but I've never sampled one of those.

I was on the fence and almost ordered M-DCT. Not having driven it before I went with the safe bet and got the manual. I guess we'll all see very shortly.

It's an 04 model. I believe it's SMG II. The auto mode is absolutely horrendous but in sport mode its quite fun and very aggressive. The shifts are still kind of abrupt and harsh but I really have nothing else to compare it to.

I spoke to BMW Clearlake today at about 10 am and they still hadn't received the car they were supposed to get last week. My sales associate said that there is some sort of hold up at the port but couldn't expound. So.....no new M's in south Houston

Here in San Antonio, The BMW Center will have a Demo By Friday. And maybe mine will be ready by Saturday. I saw their Inventory report today and they have a Melborne Red coupe(DEMO)coming in this week. Both cars were released to the carrier's today 3-4-08.

I will check Advantage Midtown and get the skinny there. My guess is that if Momentum has one you will be lucky to get within 25 feet of it. Not to be harsh on Momentum but they really don't get it when it comes to customer friendliness. SA do you think the BMW Center will let you do a hands on?
