E92 M3 VS the AMG 55 family

How would the M3 stack up against the cls55, clk55, slk55?? I very curious to find out? Anyone got ideas?

I think the e92 m3 should win. Now against the 63 series it may be a different story.

In a drag race? 55's are all low down torque. The M's get their legs way higher up the rev range. From a dig, my money would be on the 55's for the first bit, especially if they were auto's and the M was a stick.

maybe im an old fart, but all of a sudden straight line racing and street racing doesnt appeal to me anymore.

If M3 can hang or beat M6, then it'll do great against 55 and 63 families

Actually, many Merc owners claim the 55s are faster than the 63s.

They certainly are with a few mods. I ALMOST bought an E55....I was soooo close, but the Electro crapo brakes held me back. With some mods, those dude are running some fast ass ET's. Some of those guys run in the 10's!!!

I think in Gustav's DVD2, the M3 runs against a E55.

In the M6 vs. M3, the video was on the web for awhile and it didn't look too good for the M3.

why do you all assume he means drag race. the M3 will leave all of those AMG cars in the dust on a road race course. plus it has a 6MT option.

the world is not flat, straight and 1/4 mile long.

Well, I do not drag race. I only road race. However, most retards street race, which is a straight line. Being as I had just read about some idiot killing himslef in a street race, I guess I slanted my statement in that direction. My bad.

I agree with you that the M3 will prolly smoke all those cars on a road course. However, the CLK Black may give it a good run.

edit: oh yeah...I was rereading my original reply. See how I quoted him saying the 55s arefaster than the 63's? That also slanted my statement...the 55's can be modded to be much faster than a modded 63...for now at least.

Sorry but thats not happening, last vid I saw the M3 got backhanded by the M6.
