i thought you're covered no matter what. the insurance is there in case shit like this happens, or not? the premium for an M5 must be something crazy, so i'd be pissed if it wasn't covered.

i don't remember reading in my insurance agreement anything about "this contract is void if you're drunk, high, or blah blah blah" maybe i should read it over...

If I had a garage, a 2 car, one for my E90 and one for the M5, then I'd probably get this and part it out in my spare time...

Although it's not clear what is actually salvageable on that car, I wonder how much that engine is truly worth. The sum of new parts is always more than the value of the car. In this case, the car is not worth much of anything. It's a wreck. The owner probably already got close to replacement value on the car via his insurance company.
