What is the deal with Sedan + DCT ???

I had a March allocation and my dealer called me today to say that the ordering system will not let him order a Sedan w/ DCT for the March allocation. DCT is only currently available for Coupe.

Does anyone know whats going on? Has anyone successfully ordered a Sedan with DCT yet?

Brace for the usual rant about searching.

I am in the same boat as you. The DCT is not available immediately on sedans. I would be taking mine home in a couple weeks, instead, it is sometime in June/July.

Oh yeah, don't ask about 19" wheels, they are delayed too.

DCT is no longer available for March. they push DCT production to April coz of too much demand, even on coupe

DCT was never available for sedan production in March or April.

You will not, late May to early June will be the first sedan build.

For Canada, DCT is available in the sedan for an 06/08 production.

We just placed my order for sedan with 19" wheels and DCT today to see what we get back from BMW. I am still expecting June/July which is fine.

By the way, I agree with you on the re-post BS. Get's old after a while. I certainly don't post new stuff on this site!!

Just spoke to my dealer for an update. He says that he has allocations that he can process out to week 17 (week of April 21st) and so far its not possible to configure DCT with sedan.

Does anyone know which week DCT will become available for sedan?

Not totally correct ... I have an sedan on order for April production - with M-DCT and 19" wheels - this order was confirmed by BMW - delivery not later than first week of May

(week 18th/19th) meens production week 16th or 17th = APRIL

There is a very good chance your order will be pushed back again. At my dealer therer are no April builds with M-DCT available, same at other dealers I am speaking to.

but your location reads Germany.....in the US, sedans+DCT = June or later

A rep thought they might get in week 20 for sedans. Don't know if that's a real answer, or a way to string me along for 3 more weeks from now.

No sedans available could mean that all the slots are already filled, not that there aren't any being produced.
