I'm personally not amazed by the CSL's design. Never really was to be honest. Like HKS said in that one thread, it looks like a banana.

I personally think the CLS is the ugliest non-suv on the planet. It's a pretty love or hate design... and I absolutely detest it.

damn...finally someone agrees with me

I just wish the side crease was fixed so it has an aggressive stance and not a lazy banana stance lol. The rear droops a little too but the design of rear lights isnt too bad. Front lights are just weird though. I think the A7 will be the best in it's class, but let's see what BMW comes out with

i'm glad i'm not the only one that hates the cls. everyone that i talked loves that car. but i absolutely hate that car. but this a7 is a bit better...

Agreed. Again.

Yeah, that's my main problem is that character line. If it had sort of an e92 angle it would fix the sides and rear because the rear would have to be brought up to flow with the rest of the car.

I'm guessing the CS is BMW's answer to these cars.

Yeah the CS would be the answer. I think the CS and A7 will lead the class, cant wait to see them both! the CS concept is promising.

Well, to sum it up: Audi plans on dominating the german car industry and overtake BMW/MB by 2010 I believe. Maybe 2012. It's a lofty goal, but at this pace anything can happen.

I honestly don't have a favorite looking MB. I wouldn't say the S is the best looking. I definitely think the CL is better looking, but it does have a beluga whale shape to its nose. I think all of the designs are flawed in some aspect unfortunately. The S is a great design, but something about it is wrong. The C is good looking when it has a bunch of kit on it. The E is probably one of my favorites, especially the E63. It's the most "Benz" looking model currently, and the AMG model looks great. The CLK is too girly imo...unless it's the black series. The SL is getting a bit old now. Facelift just came out so I can't wait to see it in the metal. The R makes me lol. The SLK is also too chick for me.

I'm really a bit dissapointed. I think their design direction at the moment is alright, but it seems a bit confused between all the soft and sharp angles that adorn their cars.

I agree with mostly everything you said up there!

C - looks great but only with AMG styling.
E - one of the best, looks great in AMG styling.
S - not so good, AMG styling looks great though! It needs an optional grille like the CL and the front bumper needs to be more interesting. Headlights are nice though.
CL - love it, rear lights arent the best, overall looks great especially in AMG styling.
CLK - girly, looks nicer in AMG styling. AMG models are even better. spypics of replacement look promising.
SL - love the SL55, base models look dated though. Facelift is growing on me!
SLK - too girly for me
CLS - banana-like stance, front and rear sag too much and headlights are fruity. Looks good from certain angles that hide the flaws.
