What is the official dB level for the m3 stock exhaust. Also, I heard that you can take silencers off..has anyone done this?

I have seen specs/results for interior noise at various cruising speeds. However it seems like you are interested in exterior noise from the exhaust. BMW tests this and has the information but I doubt they will release it. I haven't seen such info in mag tests either. So... good luck.

ok well from an educated guess, would it be under 85 @ 8400 rpm
