You forgot the side skirts. They get beat up a lot near the front and rear.

Super stupid question, but . . .

What the hell causes the car to take so much paint damage on the track? I don't doubt that it does; upon washing the car after my first track day I was amazed at how many new nicks, chips, and scuffs I found. But I still don't understand why. I was rarely tailgating anyone; most of the time I had nothing but open road in front of me. And yet, there it is: tons of fresh love marks all over the car. WTF?

I would imagine the sticky tires that most cars are running would pick up and fling way more crap at you. Also OP-tape up behind the wheels too, the tires will kick up chunks of rubber

That's a lot of tape. Spend much more you'll have covered the price of a re-spray

Haha thanks for the comments, yeah I might have over done it a bit with the tape. I was the only person at the track with some much tape Next time it will be a bit less, if any at all, like some of you mentioned.

First time on the track so guess wanted to be careful but more importantly car is getting CQuartz-ed and getting clear bra on full hood, full bumper, headlights, side rockers and rear-high impact areas tomorrow so I didn't want to get any huge rock chips that would require touch-up before the bra goes on this weekend.

Anyways, the track was awesome had a tone of fun but I was all over the place and got passed by pretty much everyone haha. I have A LOT to learn:

1. look where I want to go and not just right in front of me
2. I wasn't using the throttle at all in mid corners so experienced understeer and killed lots of my speed
3. I was kinda being gentle on the brakes too which slowed me down too (didn't want to beat the car too much)
4. My lines were horrible so will have to work on those
5. I am sure there is more too haha

First time though and next time will probably get an in-car instructor to get some good tips then practice

Overall really happy with the experience. The car was made with the track in mind so it was nice to have the opportunity to run it through its paces...well, as much as I could. However, I really want to learn and drive it properly fast on the track since I know it can do some much more and I would very much like to experience that.

Going to be going again at least a few times during this summer. Hope I improve.
