Anyone Here Use Ephedra?

have any of you guys used ephedra? if so how many gallons of water you drink a day?

im not obeise but am overweight right now . my ideal weight is 155-160 and im at 190 right now from the holiday eating, christmas break off college, and i think my best friend moving away has to do something with it as well.

i have used many other supplements in the past but first time using ephedra. i got lipodrene. it was either that or stimerex. my friends used stimerex and lipodrene and most were toward the lipodrene.

anywho im drinking about 1.5-almost 2 gallons of water a day. anyone else of ephedra experience?

If you really want to seek help to lose weight check out Weight Watchers. Everyone I know that's done and lived by the rules have lost tons of weight.

There is no magic pill. Being 190, it should not take you long to get to your goal. As long as you eat right and exercise.

your right there is no magic pill and i never relied on them to help me lose weight in the past but they are a "boost" though, can't find the right word lol.

as long as you don't abuse ephedra your good.

cardio i run 2 miles, hit the sauna and steam room for 10 minutes each then off to raquetball which is where i really get my cardio going.

i tried the stairmaster recently for a try and boy is that thing a work out too.

Used it off and on for a few years a while back when it was still legal. Stopped a few years back when I could literally feel my heart pounding away while at rest.

Same here. I used it mostly as an energy pill and drank a couple of gallons of water a day as well. I never noticed any bad side effects or had any problems with it. Then again, I never noticed any gain from it either.

I used to use ephedrine before it was banned. Without changing my diet, and without working out, I lost 30 lbs in a month. This was using 1/10th of the "safe" daily dosage.

It's effective stuff, but not for those with heart conditions, or blood pressure issues.

I used it when trying to lean out a little for summer before. It definitely works, but you need to get used to it. I personally think it's safe when taken as directed.

same. i think the main reason ephedra was banned was due to abuse like almost everything else. if you follow instructions and are qualified for usage you will be fine.

and boy do i have a good meal plan. left over turkey from xmas. for lunch i had a small wheat turkey burrito w/ lettuce and tomato and a very small drizzle of salad dressing.

exercise! find sport you enjoy doing. I for one love basketball and the work out is just an added bonus for me. soccer is a killer work out. swimming is better than running.

did you ever bring a weight in the pool and walk across with it? that is seriously a killer workout.

i go on cycles. im gonna be off ephedra after 30 days.

When I played football in H.school I used hydroxycut and in all honest in never did shit for me. I've always had a belly and no matter how healthy I ate it never did anything for me. I had a friend that got the jitters real bad but I do remember that my heart was pounding like crazy all the time...I also couldn't sleep and god forbid I didn't take it...I crashed and literally was too weak to walk around...plus I couldn't sleep...that's pretty much when I quit but I had worked myself up to max dosage...4 pills before each meal...SO in conclusion, dont take it.

Thankfully I am trying to gain weight not lose it.

It is your eating habits and what you do truthfully. I am not preaching since I have horrible eating habits and exercising habits but I am not overweight at all. If I ever do become overweight I will watch my eating habits.

There are no excuses though, for instance you stated holidays and christmas break. Ok that wouldnt explain 20 pounds over though, also your friend moving? I really dont mean to sound like a dick. But what would that have to do with anything? Were you depressed and ate a shitload? If so you might have bigger issues.

The people who sell ephedra tell you it is safe. The problem is that most people don't know that they have problems like heart disease or BP issues. Disease runs the spectrum from none (0) to 100% (deathe). Most people think that the medical community can tell you early on that you have a problem (at about say the 10-20% range). You must pass what we call the clinical threshold before we can find disease. We in reality say someone has a little heart disease at about the 75-80% range. Its those people who look and feel OK and who may have minimal disease that when stressed like with ephedra can have a major problem. The vietnam war taught us that even 18 year old people can and do have significant vascular disease (found at autopsy). Ephedra should not be used. It is a dangerous drug and has killed many people. Learn to eat smaller less calorie dense meals and be regular in exercise. Our society implies that we should be able to be thin and eat what we want but it doesn't work. There is no shortcut to being fit. Cocaine is another drug that stresses the vascular system.

That is the problem; there is no approved scientific data to determine what is the safe threshold.

Never used ephedra by itself. I always used it to give me a jolt to intensify my workout, especially after a long day at work.
