Greetings from Finland

At first I'd like to thank you all (almost all, trolls ), this forum is awesome.. whatever information I need, this is the place to visit.. I have read this forum now about a year and this is my first post.. so it took some time but maybe now it's time for me to be more active..

At the moment I'm driving a VW GTI mk5, it's a nice car but a VW. But like you know, it's christmas time and Santa comes from Finland.. and he's got something for me too..

It's sometimes funny when I read your complaints about high prices.. sit down and take a deep breath, here comes the finnish PRICE (I use CAPITALS..)

The basic price for E92 M3 is now 101 000 euros (145 000 USD) and from 1.1.2008 the price will go up and reach 113 000 (163 000 USD). And yes, nothing is standard (No nav, no leather...).

I ordered my Beast in the beginning of November, so I'll get it "cheaper".. Because of this pretty high price, the car is less loaded than most of the cars seen in this forum. But I think it will be an awesome car.. My options (+ prices for information)

EDC (2900 euros / 4174 USD)
M-Drive (2360 / 3396)
Pro-Nav (2320 / 3338)
Hifi-Pro (1800 / 2590)
PDC f&r (1100 / 1583)

I gotta go now, I'll send more photos later.. but here's the very first one taken with my cell phone.

Regards

P

Hello Pilot and welcome ! Also congratulations with your new car ! I'm truly shocked with the option prices - I already knew that the basic price in Finland is almost a double of what we pay here in Luxembourg (we get 15% off since the car is taxfree and and extra 15 % reduction + lots of "goodies" which come as standard equipment) But your price list for options is really shocking !!! Anyway, you must have been REALLY good during the past year because Santa brings you an M3

Yep, especially the dark finish.

Don't like the 19" due to their E46 M3 design (IMO).

Congratulations on your beautiful car. Do you prefer the 18" wheels to the 19"? Do the 18"s look better in real life than in some photos? Love the Avatar. Who is in it? I can confirm Santa is from Suomi. I have seen him in his workshop in Roveniemi.

I lived in Finland for almost a year and a half. I can attest that it may be the most difficult language on the planet. I Love the Suomalainen people. They have incredible sisu and I have the deepest respect for them.

I'll send pics asap.. I think those 18's are just perfect, they have that "racing look" I was looking for.
