Where the hell is BMW?

Are we going to hear anything this year? With all the news from everyone over the past couple of weeks I have been getting very excited about pricing but now things seem to be calming down again. I wouldnt be suprised if they wait till the first batch are on the ships to give us the price the way things are going...I am getting frustrated.

haha i like the suicide smiley. yeah, join the club and there are many others on this forum that have been waiting even longer...its a helpless feeling and all you can do is just recognize that its going to be painful and arduous. don't lose hope, it has to come at one point or the other.

I find it hard to believe, if not impossible for BMW to not release pricing before the first cars are to be built. With my car starting production late this month, we HAVE to know pricing within the next 2-3 weeks. I mean come on, how can they tell the purchaser of a 60 some-odd thousand dollar car what the price is after they've started producing it?

I have been waiting for a long time. I put my name on the list about 2 years ago. I just officially joined this forum but have been a long time reader. Thanks for trying to console my pain though.

well BMW is holding everyone who put money down for a deposit without knowing the price by the balls. they can string you along because the chances of you walking away are a lot smaller now that you've committed with some $$$. I'm feeling lucky on Dec 17th..

I never put a cent down on my #1 position. Also got them to say no markups and that I'm first in writing.

The way we can send a message is for everyone to remove themselves from the waitlist and any of the people who actually spec'd their car to pull out.

That will kill the anticipation and BMW can have all their orders sitting there not being filled.

You haven't been around the BMW forums long it seems. They have been doing exactly this with new releases for a long time. The 1 series has actually been the exception, at least among recent releases.

I've been around the m3forum.net forums for years. I'm not new to any of this.

I say, wait as long as you're comfortable waiting. If/when you reach your limit, get your deposit back and go buy another car. BMW isn't the only game in town, unless you let them.

It is possible that BMW considers the first batch of M3s "demo" cars that are to be purchased by the dealers. The dealers are obviously not interested having a M3 sit around in there showroom given the demand. Regardless, I am rather annoyed by the lack of pricing news as well.

I've waited so long I'm not even sure why I wanted this car in the first place... Of course, having 2.5 years to rethink it, over and over, ISN'T HELPING!!!!

I sent a priority email over the weekend through BMWUSA Owner's Circle on the pricing information issue--I'm not betting on a useful response, but it was worth a shot.
