What gets to you?

Sitting here watching tv, and a Lay's commercial comes on (potato heads eating chips). I have to mute the tv anytime something like this comes on.

I simply can NOT stand hearing crunching. It sends me over the edge instantly. I carry headphones around wherever I go for exactly this reason. I also make sure that any commercial or ad like that, never gets a dime from me.

I'm sure others have similar problems. I met a bartender that has a similar issue, where his ears would bleed to sounds like this. Kind of crazy, but I can definitely relate.

So, what gets to you?

Hmmm... I hate the sound of dogs licking themselves. Oh god, it's so disgusting. If I am dogsitting, I have to wear earplugs or wear headphones when they do that.

you might have a mild case of misophonia.

people that don't experience it won't understand. it can make you rage.

I hate the sound of tissue paper. You know that sound/feeling of it crunching and rubbing. Drives me insane just typing this.

I go insane when someone is eating with a fork, and is not holding a knife. I can't take it. I just want to poke them with the extra knife. Elbows on the table. Speaking while food in the mouth. I will kill one day for these.

Having a discussion with someone and they don't remember what they just said to you. Why do I even bother talking to you when you have no idea what you just said?! I might as well be talking to a wall.

Haha, you really need to grow breasts and go blond, then you'd know how pathetic it is to have a conversation with someone when I can see the only thing going trough their minds... Great. so so so Great.

I learn something new every day. Most people think I over-react, but there is just something about it that I absolutely cannot take. I will have to read more into that.

I'm pretty OCD in general, but my 2 biggies...

1. I can not look at a pen without a cap on it. It bugs me thinking that the ink will dry out. And when the cap is missing, my week is ruined.

2. I can't stand it when somebody leaves water on the front of the sink. When I go to brush my teeth the front of my shirt gets wet, I want to go on a murderous rampage. I leave a small towel next to the sink just to wipe it.

Buahaha

I have no working pens ever, but I'm okay with it, it's unlikely for me to come up with a need to write by hand anyway.

... To the other. I'm usually covered in coffee, live with it Wah!

Says the female who can't go to a restaurant here, because she can't watch Americans eat. Oh lol my life.

Yes, I will admit that in my "old age" I've relaxed on this position a little since at my old job there are pens everywhere that are uncapped, leaking and dried out. At first I couldn't take it and was about to give my notice, but I've been beaten into submission on this one. I'm still pretty anal about it at home though.

When my shirt gets wet, though... this drives me mad. I have to change my shirt. It's just the worst feeling when you are clean and dry, then suddenly you are walking around with this damp feeling around your lower stomach. And the worst shit is that it takes forever to dry!

I get the elbow thing, and the speaking with the mouth full thing... but the knife? Never heard that one before... haha.

Yes, now you know my big secret.

I can not watch anyone eat, with not the "European" table manners. I mean I'm so pathetic, my 2 year old eats with a fork and a knife, even if it's just messier that way.

I went out with a good friend of mine a few weeks ago, and I swear the only reason he lived to tell the tale is that I took the soup option. After the salad as the first course, I knew I'd go down for murder if I had a fork in my hand for the main course. Never doing that again. I mean come on! It's not difficult. Use the bloody hands, and don't put the knife down. Just don't.

The words are the sad truth I would cover up better if I had slept more than 20 minutes this night, but sadly no. Oh well...

Mispronounced words drive me fucking insane.

It's espresso, not expresso.
It's chipotle, not chipulte. The T is BEFORE the L!

Perhaps more annoying is that my name is Evan and about 50% of the time that I see someone write it down they write "even". You know what e-v-e-n spells and it isn't Evan. They don't even sound similar. It's four fucking letters and people just can't get it right. It's not like "Kerry" or "Christine" where there are like five different ways to spell it.

I don't know... killing with a spoon during fits of rage sounds like it can be quite satisfying.

That said, if I ever eat with you, it will be tacos.... and beer, of course.

It also drives me nuts when people pronounce Ralph Lauren like it's French. It's pronounced like the common American girls name.

That's an other load of trouble, so dieting it is. I swear I was more normal younger, but even that is a lie.

Fuck it, I'll admit it: I do just about anything to avoid social life, so I just keep on coming up with new rules.

Squeaking pencil leads, styrofoam and weed whackers, but especially barking/whining/shitting dogs. My neighbors have these big stupid undisciplined dogs that bark for an hour straight if a car drives down our damn street. Our neighborhood has leash laws but they still let them run loose so I come home from work and there they are in the middle of the street, barking at me.

Antifreeze hot dog?
