Dumb light question

OK,
what are the inner two lights for in the headlamps without the 'Adaptive' option? In my old 330d LCI, they were the turning lights on the adaptive system, but on my new M3, no matter what configuration I play with, I can't get them to light up.

There is a big H8 bulb in there, it just doesn't seem to light up - on either side. SO, what are the inner lights for on a non adaptive setup?

re they the angeleye lights ?? if so its might be yr daytime driving light .......i might be wrong though.

Definitely not the angel eyes. They work no problems and I know they dim when you switch from side lights to driving lights. I am talking about the main inner headlight inboard of the main and dipped Xenon bulb. I can't get it to light up and I am unsure as to why.

See if they light up when you put the car on reverse.

I think these lights come on hen you "flash" your brights at someone, not turn your high beams on. On my 335, if i pulled the turn signal stalk towards me, these inner lights would flash on, then off when i released the stalk. hope this helps.
