2010 M3 owners

Hi guys, I have just purchased a used E92 M3 'Edition' in Alpine White. Just curious, do all M3s with the new 09 iDrive come with Navigation systems? I realised that mine has the word 'Navigation' located on the menu but its been blacked out for some strange reason.

Anybody have a clue whats with the black out?

satnav is standard on all M3s...you need to select to setting in i-drive to display the satnav

Might sound daft but is the disk in the drive?

Hmmm, how do I select the setting in the iDrive to display the satnav?

As for the disc, is it still necessary for the 09 iDrive? I thought the disc was only for pre 09 iDrives.

press the nav button on the idrive. if it doesn't work take the car back to the dealer as its clearly hosed. Unless its an import as they don't come with nav as standard.

If its an import and it comes without Nav, is it still possible to install the Nav?
Just wanna make sure just in case the dealer drops the bomb and says it is indeed an import.

yes ...the 09 model year cars have a hard disc instead of the satnav disc ....a huge improvement as you can store/transfer yr music file to the hard disc

I suspect you might be able too, but it might be better to fone a dealer from where the car came from as the UK guys will scratch their asses being not too sure why it doesn't have nav.

Would it be possible that the M3 is an import? If so, I guess it would be direct from Germany since it is RHD?
