SoCal Track Day! Big Willow- BMW Xtreme 10/13

SoCal Track Day! Big Willow- BMW Xtreme 10/13

ExtremeSpeedTrackEvents will be at Big Willow on October 13th, and they said they will be hosting another BMW Xtreme event!

With Trophies and prices for us BMW drivers hehe . Those who aren't BMW drivers...well of course they're welcome to come...but sorry you cannot participate in our competition :P.
Let's take over the track!

They will also have prizes like they did last time (a raffle). About ~$500 or so was given out last time. Not sure exactly what they will be giving out, but if I find out, I'll post it up

Here is their flyer for the event:

Driver's meeting is at 8:15, don't be late!

Register here:

https://www.extremespeedtrackevents....t-registration

Price is only $110 Free with timing, with discount code "BMW13"
There's also free lunch and free beginner's instruction (for everyone, not just BMW drivers)

The last event was a blast; out of the 70 or so cars that showed up, more than half were BMWs, and more than half of those M3s!

I'll do what I can to help answer questions, but PLEASE email them if you have a specific question. I'm not able to answer specific questions. I've just simply go a the track 2-3 times a month so I know a thing or two..but anything specific please address them directly:

Mark@extremespeedtrackevents.com or go on their website.

Here are some pics from previous events:

Yes most pics are of course of my car. If you have your own pics, you should post them up :P

Considering this is a "competition" am I right to assume it would not be a good event for a track newbie like myself?

The way it's been in the past is that only those that want to participate in the timing competition will do so; You're not forced to

There will be more beginners and people who aren't participating than people who actually will

how does that competition work? each person gets the track to themselves for the best time or does everyone who wants to participate go on at once?

I was there for one of the BMW competitions previously. You just run the group you sign up with and then at the end of the day they look at which BMW's have the fastest lap times and those are the ones that win. If enough BMW's sign up then Persian54 may be able to convince them to have a BMW only run group but it didn't happen last time.

Yeah we didn't get enough one the same level.
It's unsafe to mix beginners with super advanced, so people would need to be similar levels.

Beginners don't want to run with super advanced and vice versa.

I was there at Button last time for their AWD competition (didn't participate in it of course lol but it was going on), and it was a bit different so I'm curious how the BMW one will run

But yeah, you never get the track to yourself at any competition... lol not any I've been to at least

I'd like to go to this. It has been over a year since the brake fluid was last changed, however.

shouldn't be more than a hour's labor to do a fluid change, so pretty inexpensive.

EAS can help you with that (they bleed my brakes this week)

Sounds like a great event at a great price! A newbie like me needs to start getting some track days under my belt in the M. Very tempting...
