Gintani Race Rear Section installed!
And all i can say is WOW!.
Beautiful Sound. I set off every car alarm on my block and I don't even have the X pipe. It looks fantastic as well. The TIP's however do get EXTREMELY hot, is there any concern about damaging or melting the rear diffuser? The stock exhaust or even my old E46 M3 eisenmann didn't get that hot? |

Nice! Congrats! I just got the Sport version, and it was setting car alarms off, so I can only imagine how loud the Race version must be!
I haven't noticed the tips getting hot, and I have a rear diffuser as well, I'll have to keep an eye on that

I have just the stock rear bumper i mean but the tips were HOT! i mean 2nd degree burn your hands to the touch after 10 mins or so of hard driving.
Also did the smell dissipate after the canisters built up some carbon? |

I am getting ready to install my Sport version tomorrow , I have a VRSII rear diffuser and I was actually wondering how the tips were going to fit back there with the diffuser on, being that even with the OEM exhaust tips it looks pretty cozy back there. Do your tips pretty much touch the diffuser at all times?

Just a note to anyone installing..
You need an 18mm (or crescent) wrench for the middle hanger brackets, 13mm for most everything else. But on the install the one thing i didnt have is a set of metric allen keys (DOH) for putting the retaining clips on the front brackets. Wont stop you from installing but they really should be on there. So i used hose clamps instead in the mean while P.S. Have fun muscling those rubber brackets off the oem muffler. A flat head screwdriver and patience goes a long way. |

As long as the tips aren't touching the diffuser don't worry about it

exhaust sounds awesome...i was firm about getting the meistershaft but i think i'm going gintani race now. youtube videos and pics def. don't do this exhaust justice. it looks and sounds great.

Great to meet you as well. Yeah it is a fantastic system. I HIGHLY recommend it. It is loud though so if you are looking for more sedate go with the Gintani sport but for me its Race all the way |
