I think this car wants gloss black grille-/side grill and perhaps some CF spoiler-splitter combo. Rims in Anthracite would be a final touch. I'd never think it looks like taxi cab.

Picking it up by trailer in Little Rock on the 9th and breaking it in properly on track with NASA Rocky Mountain region at Hallett the 11th-12th.

Porsche and BMW tend to share color names. I dont think its offical, but it happens.

Ordering such a combo of car and colour, takes some guts!
I'm happy someone have the balls, because this came out freakin awsome imo!
Congrats on an great looking M "dad"!
Churning out 5 big ones, to make something special, in his "age", it takes some doing, i think those extra 5, will actually make for a great resale value when that time comes imo.
There is plenty of guys who wants something uniqe, and this certainly is.
Myself i would choose black interiour, but with those temp, i sure understand where your coming from.
We need some interiour shots as well!

I remember a colleague of mine had a Cosmos E36 convertible back in the day.
He got sick and tired of it, and painted it in Dakar, i remember there were several "tones" of this one, he gotten the one with most yellow in his, with black interiour, and some decent rims, it stood out.
The flipside beeing, everyone knew where he was, hard to blend.

Again congrats to your dad on his gutsy choice, and remember, do take some more shots of it!
Thanks!

pics?

FWIW, the yellow M3 coupe shown a few pages back in this thread is not Atacama, as explained very thoroughly by forum member esquire.

I like Dakar better x 1,000 man.

Atacama is way too bright and taxi like.

Dakar FTW.

Hey, it's just like when some people say the E90 is "more aggressive" looking than the E92. Are you f*ing kidding me? The E92 is INFINITELY more aggressive, and sexier looking.

Congrats - a real beauty!

All of these Individual colors really show the shortcomings of BMW's standard colors. Who doesn't offer a popular car in bright red or yellow, non-metallic? Oh yeah, BMW.

That's the best (i.e. I like the most) colour I've seen on an M3!

EDIT: I retract the above statement, I've just seen WallyE's midnight blue.

I don't know that I could own that for the length of time I'm planning to own my JZB but damn!!!!

i think it looks amazing! i would have went with a rust brown interior though, beige is too light for yellow IMO.

if only we could have the euro bumpers, the orange reflectors have to go!
