Gintani SC 60-130mph VBOX run

went out and did a Vbox pull today in my E92 M3 DCT Gintani Stage 1 Supercharger and on 1st attempt, hit 8.95. This was with wheelspin before the 1st shift in 2nd gear.. and more from 2nd to 3rd. so lost some time there, can def shave some time off when i get new tires...way to much tires spin, back end slide alot.

managed a 8.95 on a slight incline (around 0.34% uphill) with 3 shifts. With some new tires can definently improve my time.

This was with the Stage 1 Gintani Supercharger setup, 5.5 psi, 91 octane, full interior ect.

Excellent job Sammy, no doubt you can manage an even better time. I managed a 8.67 in my 500+whp SC'd E46 M3, and I have little doubt you will eclipse that with new tires, with race fuel even better. Let me know when you want to use the Vbox again, I am very impressed with that time, and on your 1st try, good job Bro!

Thanks Drew! When I get new tires its on! I'm taking a half second off that time...way too much wheel spin. and got to find a flatter road, being slightly uphill definetly slowed me a lil

No problem, it was fun I really enjoy this stuff. I think the wheelspin slowed you down more Bro, that's not to bad of a stretch to do a pull, but you're right, corrected for a perfectly flat road, it says you'd probably hit 8.87.

I am very surprised you didn't go this time.... I really wanted to see a 6MT car doing the 60-130 time.

try with just 1 gear change 3rd-4th you should be able to hit 130 at the end of 4th.

I think your time will be very close or even better.

Thanks Guys. i have no doubt i can shave a lot of time off that run...first time trying...really only did a couple runs...when i get new tires...GAME OVER!

also interesting to note is that my speedometer seemed like it was almost at 140mph when the vbox beeped signaling it hit 130mph...prob cause i have incorrect tire sizes on

Sammy,
Great time!! CONGRATS!!
Should be able to get low 8's or high 7's with good tires and no wheel spin.
You mentioned three shifts?

Sammy,
Maybe you change tire height and eliminate one of the gear changes? That will definitely help. Be safe!

thanks boss!

Running some burnt out falken f452 285/35/19 and 255/40/19 - they were free, they tires arent very good to start, and i drove on them with no alignment for a while and the inside of the rears are gone

you definetely need to do some VBOX runs! didnt Roman go out the other day and run some 60-130s?

Cool!

So what kind of new rubber are you going to run?

Yeah, I missed out on the runs the other weekend. That was when Pencilgeek added those Video VBOX runs to his thread. The Video VBOX looks pretty sweet! I'll be up for some runs this coming weekend though.
