You probably don't want a car that's been modded and turned back to stock or that has been tracked a lot. These cars run great so you have to go out of your way to break them.

I would only be concerned if the second owner only kept it for a couple months. If it's 2 years on first owner and 2 years on second it's probably fine. Anyone who tells you not to buy an 08 is more worried about tail lights and the radio. The performance is exactly the same.

My 08 had 2 owners before I purchased it and 3 when I sold it to forum member. No issues.

My other hesitation is that I had an e90 so looks-wise, it's going to be more or less the same. I'm between an 08 M3 and a 2011 S4. I've never owned an Audi and I am conflicted.

Owned a '12 S4 for a year. Had to sue Audi to buy it back due to DSG issues. Prefer the M3.

My friend traded in his 09 E90 for a 12 S4. He definitely regrets it.

When I sold my E90 to the 4th owner, it still looked and drove like a new car. No dings, scratches, and minimal wear on the interior. Don't be scared of a multiple owner car, if you can get the full history on it.

I was able to find out who the first owner was and he turned over cars every year.

Second owner was a retired pilot who has owned 62 Porsches and his neighbor suggested the M3 so since it was on the Porsche lot he bought it. Sold it to me and already had Porsche #63 picked out.

Right place, right time. Impeccably maintained. I've had it for over a year and put 5k miles on it. It still looks like it rolled off the showroom floor (minus the Akra tips sticking out from the back).

Wait, for lower miles, less owners. Why settle? Is the price below KBB? I look at everything based on resale. You know you will take a hit when you resell it right? So why not try to cushion it at least. Don't buy above KBB, dont buy with allot of miles, dont but with a bunch of owners. Why? because when you try to resell it in the future that guy is going to start a thread named, "Would you buy a 4th owner e90 M".

Unless were talking about Christie Brinkley, in that case I would consider a test drive.

You say S4 and most people won't know what you are talking about. You say M3 and they probably know what it is. If they own a BMW, then they are jealous.

It's a great car. I'm keeping mine. The M4 gets uglier every time I see it.

The Aston Martin ad is a fake, based on this BMW ad.

Good find! Never knew that, but I'm proud of BMW for printing it!

I'm the 4th owner of my m3. Original owner had it a year I think. 2nd was a college kid who owned it for a few months and most likely couldn't afford it. The 3rd owner bought it at 16k miles and kept it until I bought it at 38k miles. He basically sold it as the bmw 4 year warranty was up. I've been putting miles on it for almost a year now and it's dead reliable.

Know the history and it'll be fine. I got all the records, had a friend at bmw double check the history just in case. No complaints whosoever. Im glad I got what I wanted.

Yeah, you Brits really know how to publish a good advert, there's nothing similar out there even though the fake ad cloned a real BMW ad.
