Which BMWCCA chapter is better, LA or SD?

Trying to decide whether or not to join BMWCCA and since I'm in OC, I'm sort of in the middle of Los Angles and San Diego.

Anyone care to comment on one or the other?

I'm presuming you are wanting to take part in AutoX?

If you're a BMWCCA member you can attend either one. Try an event at each and see how you feel. We (SD) get loads of LA folk all the time.

I definitely have no complaints about the SD group, very nice people, well organized events and great instructors.

The surface at the Q is a bit rough on tires, though.

Yes, AutoX would definitely be one of the perks. I think Qualcomm (or, as I prefer to call it, the murph) is closer than Willow Springs to me so that's a good reason to consider SD.

I'm assuming you feel membership is worth the priviledges?

Yeah, definitely.
The SD BMWCCA events are well known in the area for being some of the best organized. They only host them once every 2 months.
