Hello, I live in Long Island and have only a cat delete on, plus akrapovic dealer for the check engin.
Would bmw give me a problem? Or inspection in the future ???

With the cat delete possibly. Depends on wether the problem with the check engine light relates to your exhaust. As far as the state inspection, depends on the laws in your state. Maybe someone from New York running catless can chime in here?

Are you new to driving in NY? State inspections are going to test your exhaust/emissions every time, unless you know a shop with a dude whose palm you can grease for a passing grade. If you are catless there is no way you will pass inspection.

BMW - NO, I just got a maintenance inspection from BMW and they don't care as long as they don't have to fix it.

STATE - YES, they'll catch the fact you don't have catalysts. You pay either way.

Are you going to the dealer for a check engine light? Or going for regular maintenance? If for the check engine light - go get it read someplace else like autozone for free. If it relates to exhaust, swap out exhaust and go to dealer. If it is not related to exhaust, I would leave the exhaust on.

State inspection - already answered - you will fail.

no check engine light because my akra delete took that off. However for the future, i am concerned that
A) i won't pass inspection
B) Bmw will bitch because of the test pipes (primary cat delete).

anybody give in a modified bmw without bmw bitching?

*update* i can get my inspection done at a friends BP gas station lol, ill pass.

Oh...I see now...your first sentence in the OP was confusing to me

Yes people go in with superchargers and can get work done. Go to your local forum and see if people have experience with Tuner Friendly detailers. Some are okay, some will complain.
