2011 M3 Competition. Good price?

When purchased: TBD
Year and Model:2011 M3 Competition Coupe. Jerez Black on black
Miles:14,000
Options: Competition, Premium, Tech, Enhanced sound, Carbon trim, iPod/USB adapter, Sat radio, carbon fiber roof
Transmission:MDouble Clutch

Local broker wants 60.9K. Dropped it from 64.9K.

Still under warranty until Oct 2014. Good price or should I keep looking?

Thanks for the advice!

Meh, Ryan from Steve Thomas BMW quoted me a 2012 Coupe for $68 - I prefer the new vehicle over a used one for that difference but it does look quite untouched in the photos.

yea, I called Ryan Amico yesterday and havent gotten a call back yet. I may try to call him again today.

I took the car for a test drive and she's a beast. Looks better in person than in the pictures. I feel like 58K is the right price but I cant seem to get there.

Thanks

^^Shoot him an email ramico@stevethomasbmw.com we have a couple Ryan's at the dealership so sometimes they get routed to wrong Ryan. You can PM me your email address as well and ill get you set up with Ryan.

As far as this car I won't comment on the price bc I don't want to over step bounds of another dealer, however if you are willing to wait a little for a ordered brand new car you can get one for a pretty solid price. Just depends on if you need something right now or are willing to wait to get something you can build and order to exactly what you want.

GOLFFRR,

I called yesterday AM and spoke with Francesca. I am sure he's hella busy. I sat next to a kid last year on a plane who recommended Ryan to me. I hear lots of positive things about him. PMing you my email. Thanks for the follow up.

Seems like a fair price. However, you could probably get a '13 in a few months for about $10K more.

The seat and steering wheel look a bit shiny.

Do a 2013 in a few months for under 10k more. For the resale of my car i hope an 11 is worth that, but I highly doubt it.
08/09 cars will be had for low 30s in a years time.

From everything I've seen out there, most '11s are running anywhere from 55-62k depending on the obvious (miles, options etc). This particular '11 has until Oct '14 for warranty. I also found one very similar with 5k less miles but no ZCP for 2k cheaper. Thinking the ZCP is worth it though.

Be careful with Hancock Automotive. I'd use a paint thickness gauge on every quarter panel, and look for hidden damage. A buddy picked up an 08 from them, prior accident not reported on carfax or autocheck.

This is a great point..there was a thread not to long ago where someone was scammed on a car by a BMW dealer no less

That's funny you said that. When I test drove it, we talked about their integrity and use of thickness gauge to ensure no hidden issues etc. I didn't have one but I plan on doing a mechanic inspection plus having the gauge walked throughout the car. Still haven't decided on the car yet.

And maybe this is stupid but how was the accident not reported on carfax?

No insurance claim, private body work, not that hard just makes things harder to find for the next buyer.

Some of cars are lemons(not saying this one is) and most of the cars come from auctions, so be carful. JMO

Get the car from Ryan, do European Delivery. Cheap plane ticket to Germany 800-1.2k. Cheap Hotel 75 Euros. Cab fare from Airport to cheap hotel 40-50 Euros. Picking up your brand new M3 built to your specifications at the BMW Welt for a few thousand more than what you would pay for this used one..... priceless. That is without mentioning the extra year of warranty/maintenance.

New Vehicle Limited Warranty
BMW’s commitment to building quality automobiles extends to providing quality services throughout the world. Your new BMW U.S. model purchased under the European Delivery Plan receives the same warranty privileges as those purchased and delivered in the U.S. Every U.S. model BMW is backed by a new vehicle limited warranty of 4 years/50,000 miles, whichever comes first from the date of sale. See www.bmwusa.com for full warranty details.

I just finished reading ED info (cut from the PDF about ED) from the BMW website and didn't see any mention of an extra year of warranty/maintenance. Where does it say that?

He means that buying a brand new car will have more warranty (4) than this used one has left (2.5 years?).

nahhh. A bit on a high side. I think you can get it for 55k.
i've seen many that are sitting collecting dust. Owners and or dealers are asking 60k, which is unjustified.
